NVS: Infrastructure Development Plan – Beijing

An airborne trip through Beijing detailing an infrastructure plan for the future of the city.

It is slightly frightening how much of a presence cars have in this video, I really hope that they don’t repeat mistakes make in the past with heavily car dependants networks.

It reminded me a lot of living in Asia as I watched the way the city is presented. In North American cities the giant public stadium is often seen as some what dubious. To often they are left lonely after the major event for which they were built has come and gone, but in in Asia they are often very busy. Not necessarily because some event is going on, that is when they are insanely packed, but just because it is the third Saturday in July. It puts this this video’s extended focus on the Birds Nest stadium at the beginning in a slightly different perspective.
